(Note — In the weeks leading up to all four tiers of the B.C. senior boys basketball championships, The Province undertook a rather substantial polling process to gain a consensus on just who the best Grade 12 player in B.C. has been over the course of this past season.

The Province sent out a total of 17 independent and confidential ballots to coaches at the Single, Double, Triple and Quad A tiers in different geographic regions, as well as the CCAA college ranks, requesting them to rank their top 15 Grade 12 players based on their seasons of play. Twelve coaches responded. The Province did not take part in the voting/selections)

Bains, Cohee and Minhas are definitely special players and in the upper tier of this group of 25. Bains doesn't have same profile as IMO his club team doesn't market to the same degree as Drive. Perhaps the survey results would be same but I would be interested in survey of coaches on which player would you want on your team. Tough choice but I would pick Cohee.

I think obviously both are very good players and IMO the top 2 players in the province. For me, I would pick Bains as the top player by a small margin. I think Cohee is a great overall player and is one the quickest players I've seen and he attacks the rim hard, but I think Bains has that natural physical edge over him. I haven't seen another player Bains' size who is as quick and athletic as he is. I remember the first time I saw him play this year, he popped two contested threes from way deep. I haven't seen another guy who just has that assassin like scoring ability that he does and on top of that has the size to guard and play down low. If he can really reach his full potential with the body he has then I think in about 5 years we can say he's the clear cut better player.

Nic Tancon from Highland should be top 10 (comfortably) but wasn't seen much (IMO). I didn't get to watch the kid from Queen Charlotte but guessing he has earned a place somewhere on this list?

Don't sleep on PG Ishmael from Lambrick Park who was a key factor to their provincial banner , averaged 20+ while shooting over 60%

Would have to include Tyler Radelja from Wellington in Nanaimo. 6'2" shooting guard who is a very athletic and can light it up. Scored 42 in the first game of aaa provincials and averaged 30 for the tourney.
Thought he was the best player at his position in triple A
