| Coach Mike Raimbault is leaving UNBC to coach Uof Winnipeg. This is a big loss for the school and the program. He took a UNBC team who failed to make the playoffs the year before he got there to a national champion in just two short years.
It will be interesting to see what kind of change this means for UNBC. The team is eligible to return all of their players from this years squad but one has to wonder how many players will follow him to winnipeg or choose to play elsewhere. UNBC is having their ID camp this weekend too but this announcement will definitly have an impact on recruiting.
The UNBC coaching position should still attract some quality applicants though. It is one of the highest paid coaching jobs in the BCCAA and has tremendous community and fan support. This and it has an unbelievable facility. UNBC will also find out in May if they get into Canada West of the CIS.
I wonder how long it will take for UNBC to hire a new coach? The sooner the better. I also wonder if Jordan Yu of Capilano will apply again as he is from P.G. and applied for the job when Mike got it. I guess we will have to wait and see. |

| I am sure they will get a lot of applicants, especially if their application to join the CIS is successful. Not quite sure how long it will take to post the position but it should be up in a couple weeks. |

| I heard that Jordan Yu was shortlisted, not sure who else was on that list though.
If they are approved by the CIS in May, would they start play this next season? |

| No, they would play this season 2010-2011 in the BCCAA still than start play in CIS in 2011-2012. |

| As far as I have heard almost all of the team will be back including all their starters. The one big question mark so far is if Jose Arujo will be back. He is the only player that I have heard to be undecided so far. |

| I have heard a few names of applicants, Jordan Yu, Todd Jordan (Coaches Quest womens team), and Mike Woolard who used to be an assistant at UNBC. Those aere the only names I have heard so far but I am sure there will be a lot more to come. |

| Appearently, Mike Woollard spent last year as an assistant coach at Minot State in North Dakota, which plays in NAIA Div II and he also coached with Raimbault at Brandon as well as one season with UNBC. Sounds like UNBC will have a few options. |
