PostSubject: College ID Camp   Tue Aug 03, 2010 11:42 am

The 2nd Annual Pacific College Prospects Camp will be held Saturday September 4th and Sunday September 5th at North Delta Secondary in Delta from 12 noon to 6 pm. The event is open to individual boys players in grades 10 - 12, high school teams and AAU teams. This event is designed for players from throughout British Columbia and the Pacific North West United States who wish to pursue post secondary playing opportunities in the United States.

The event is a combination clinic and tournament, with a four game guarantee. Players who sign up individually will be placed on teams of no more than 10 players. The clinic is run by Gerry Freitas, who has over twenty-one years of coaching experience including both the high-major division one (USC) and professional level. A report on the event will be done by the Hoop Review scouting service that will be sent to college coaches and various internet sites. Hoops Review is the largest scouting service on the west coast; over 175 colleges subscribe to the service. Schools range from NAIA and Division III all the way to high major Division I. Players with the potential to go on to any level of post-secondary basketball will benefit from this experience.

This is a unique opportunity for players to be evaluated against the best competition in the area and gain exposure to a large number of American universities. Additionally, coaches from all CIS and BCCAA schools from BC and Alberta will be invited to attend.

Cost is $300 per team or $75 per individual, $60 for Basketball BC members.

This is also a great opportunity to get your team together for an instructional and competitive experience prior to the start of school.

What they are saying about Hoops Review and Coach Freitas

"Gerry Freitas is the best evaluator of Talent I have seen.  His recruiting service is the best in America as he is right on when evaluating talent. He has an incredible amount of information on any kid on the west coast including family background."

Joe Pasternack
Head Coach
University of New Orleans

"Gerry Freitas has the premier scouting service in the western united
states. Nobody provides more accurate and detailed information/
analysis of players at all levels! He is our number one outside
resource here at Cal!"

Gregg Gottlieb
University of California @ Berkeley
